- Work with students and follow the Lego robotics curriculum to teach primary and junior age students(6-9 years old and 10-14 years old);

- Document the classroom plan and update with the program director;

- Be creative and manage the diversity of skill levels in the same class;

- Guide students with different skill levels to improve through the curriculum;

- Lead high school volunteers and mentor them to help in the classroom;

- Lead students to organize robotics pieces in an orderly way;

- Be able to interact effectively with young students.

Qualifications:



- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Strong computer skills, preferably computer programming, mechanical or electrical engineering background;

- Experienced in working in classroom environment

- Relevant Lego experience, including WeDo 2.0, Mindstorm EV3 and Spike Prime preferred, but not required

- OCT certification or working toward OCT is preferred but not required

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
