ONE CARE Home & Community Support Services is a community based, charitable, Not-For-Profit health organization providing supportive care to families in Huron and Perth Counties as well as the surrounding area.
SUMMARY:
The Program Assistant RN/RPN under the direction of the Program Supervisor is responsible for service delivery in the Adult Day Program setting including program planning and implementation, and direct client care. This position includes providing medical assistance including medication administration in accordance with the College of Nurses' Standards of Practice.
We are currently seeking a part-time RN/RPN to work at our Dashwood location Tuesday/Thursday and our Goderich Location on Monday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse through the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including ability to facilitate group activities.
Gentle Persuasive Approach, PIECES and Montessori training would be considered an asset.
Physically capable of performing assigned duties including assisting with client transfers.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
Current First Aid and CPR required.
Ability to speak French would be considered an asset.
Valid driver's license, insurance and use of a vehicle.
