Registered Nurse - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic

(St. Clair & Yonge)

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (possibility of 5 days/week)

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM No evenings or weekends

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy, well-established oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic at St. Clair & Yonge in Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN looking for a steady weekday schedule in a surgical setting, providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments to determine surgical and anesthesia candidacy, including reviewing medical histories and ensuring NPO status. Prepare, monitor, and recover surgical patients, including IV insertion, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and discharge readiness assessment. Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists to support safe delivery of care and anticipate patient needs. Monitor and manage medical inventory, ensuring supplies and emergency medications are stocked and within expiry. Safely handle and administer emergency medications such as epinephrine, amiodarone, and atropine. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and interdisciplinary teams. Perform medication reconciliation and coordinate with external providers to maintain accurate health records. Complete clear and thorough documentation in accordance with clinical and professional standards.
Qualifications:

Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) valid BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification Willingness to learn and participate in surgical assisting (training provided)
