About The Thornhill Club

The Thornhill Club is a year-round private club that offers golf, curling, fitness/wellness, tennis courts, and swimming pool/aquatics, casual and formal dining, and numerous outdoor winter activities. The Club is conveniently located in the GTA on Yonge Street (near Hwy 407) in Thornhill, Ontario. The club currently has 1200 members with the wellness department permitted to service non-members of the club as well.

The Valleyview Fitness and Wellness Center is a full-service gym that offers personal training, Pilates reformer, group exercise class, physiotherapy, athletic therapy, RMT, and acupuncture.

The Valleyview fitness facility overlooks the golf course and is one of the best views on the property.

JOB DESCRIPTION - RMT

We are looking for a highly motivated Massage Therapist to join our Thornhill team in our mission to improve the health and well-being of our members. The successful candidate will administer professional massage and body treatments to our members and must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, excellent communication skills, and be able to learn the product and service necessary to effectively provide wellness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a registered Massage Therapist in good standing Should have a minimum of 1 year massage experience Team player that's flexible and reliable Must have experience working with MS office Excellent communication skills Desire to work in a team atmosphere Be able to offer a minimum of 2 days per week Looking to work with a dynamic group of members in a community-driven wellness facility

DUTIES

Make members feel welcome and comfortable and promote the benefits of massage therapy as specific to each member and recommend frequency Be on time for each massage appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service Maintain the treatment rooms in a neat professional manner including stocking products and linens, cleaning, and instrument sterilization. Maintain a positive attitude, be flexible, and contribute toward a quality work environment

HOURS OF WORK:

By appointment (days, evenings, weekends, holidays).

Therapists receive competitive % split. Adjustable tables for your physical comfort. Spacious treatment rooms. Professional and organized work environment. General supplies provided. Access to some club amenities. Laundry and cleaning provided in-house.

Experience: Experience in a clinic setting preferred (1-2 years but not prerequisite)

License: RMT (Required)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $75.00-$100.00 per hour
