Heritage Shops is hiring an enthusiastic Retail Store Manager that has a passion for Newfoundland heritage for our store located in the heart of downtown St. John's on Duckworth Street.

The function of the Store Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of their store. They are responsible for store success, particularly by meeting sales goals, and ensuring quality customer service.

Promote the products of our provinces incredible artists and makers Provide high levels of customer satisfaction Work with senior management to develop short and long term growth strategies Coach team member performance to maintain high standards of customer service and product knowledge Adhere to and ensure that all team members comply to policies and procedures Product merchandising consistent with store standards Manage budgets and schedules

Our ideal Candidate:

Passionate about Newfoundland heritage, artists and makers Sales oriented and strong customer service skills Familiarity with merchandising Retail sales experience Retail sales management or supervisor role experience Proficiency in English, French or second language not required but is appreciated

This position is seasonal, contract is 9 months and runs from mid-March to mid-November. Candidate must be available for the whole outlined term.

The Heritage Shops is a social enterprise run by the Historic Sites Association of NL. HSA is a local non-profit organization that helps make heritage happen by investing, along with Parks Canada and other partners, in nationally significant heritage projects that benefit local communities and the visitor's experience. Since 1981, HSA has provided more than $3 million in financial support to NL's National Historic Sites!
