Alexanian's was started by Aris Alexanian in Hamilton, Ontario in 1925. After working as a teacher for orphaned Armenian children in Georgetown Ontario, Aris used his connections in the carpet business to open his first store on King Street specializing in imported hand knotted oriental rugs from around the world. Eventually Aris did his own carpet buying and travelled the Middle East and India extensively. Still proudly a family business today (99 years later), the company now has 20 retail stores across Ontario and growing.
Position Available:
Alexanian is now hiring for the position of Sales Manager to join our team at our flagship designer store at our Alexanian Burlington Location (870 Appleby Line, Burlington, On).
This position is a leadership position that carries an opportunity for exceptional pay (salary ,commission and bonus) and a fast paced work environment.
We strive ourselves on providing our customers a premium customer service experience on their carpet, flooring, and window coverings projects. We are looking for hard working, sales driven, motivated individuals with excellent customer service and communication skills.

-Ensure sales and profitability for the store and adhere to store budgets
Set (with regional manager) quarterly and yearly sales targets for store and meet with sales staff to track and measure target progress
Create a structured networking agenda (personally and for store staff) for the purpose of creating and executing commercial business for the store.
Monitor all controllable expenses to coincide with store budgets (office, office supplies, shipping etc.)
Ensure that 1 on 1 performance with the team to order to track , measure and review the progress of sales professionals is being conducted on a monthly basis
Manage business networking groups for all store staff and track and measure profit and total sales generated from networking groups on a monthly basis
Monitor accounts receivable, ensure proper procedure are followed by sales staff and installers
Respond to, address and solve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner for the customer and company
Ensure that all incoming company emails and phone calls are checked and responded to on a daily basis
Ensure that weekly full staff meetings are conducted with sales staff
Manage and motivate sales staff, office, warehouse staff, set floor schedules to provide adequate floor coverage during all store hours
Manage installation schedule and store installers to maximize customer service and delivery output. Give proper direction as needed to install all jobs are properly executed.
Ensure that store is clean, organized and safety compliant at all times
