We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a team towards achieving business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining optimal store performance. Duties
Lead and supervise retail staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
Oversee daily store operations, including merchandising, pricing strategies, inventory purchasing, and POS system management.
Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase store visibility and sales.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience through effective communication skills and phone etiquette.
Monitor sales performance and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
Manage cash handling procedures, pricing adjustments, and store budgeting activities.
Coordinate with vendors for purchasing supplies and merchandise while negotiating favorable terms.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
Lead promotional activities and participate in community outreach efforts to boost store presence.
Experience
Proven experience in retail sales management or store management roles with supervising experience.
Strong background in merchandising, sales management, marketing, and team leadership.
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory purchasing.
Excellent negotiation skills coupled with organizational skills for effective time management and prioritization.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
Demonstrated ability in training & development, budgeting, leadership, interviewing new staff members, and supervising teams.
Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
