you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, rules and regulations impacting retail operations involving lottery, alcohol and tobacco. This role provides leadership and strategic guidance to retail teams helping ensure operational adherence to regulatory requirements through proactive auditing, training, monitoring and corrective action management. The Retail Compliance Officer will focus on ensuring compliance in our retail stores.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead the continuous improvement of retail compliance programs to ensure adherence to lottery, alcohol and tobacco sales.
Deliver compliance education training session to increase awareness at all levels of retail operations.
Provide regulatory guidance to retail teams including management and associates.
Monitor regulatory changes and provide recommendations to maintain compliance.
Plan and execute regular and random audits of retail operations followed by corrective actions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure process and procedures are adhered to.
Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as required and ensuring training programs are deployed and adhered to.
Validate training programs and documentation are adhered to.
Regularly monitor personnel files to ensure training compliance.
Conduct investigations into potential compliance violations, perform root cause analyses and conduct preventative action plans.
Ensuring all stores are setup for success.
Job Requirements:
Demonstrated experience leading audits and developing compliance controls.
CannServe and or Store Serve Certificate.
Strong knowledge of OLG, LCBO and Tobacco rules and regulations.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
Excellent training and coaching skills with the ability to deliver constructive feedback.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and cross functionally in a multiple store environment.
Valid G driver license required.
Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required. Flexible work schedule required.
Ability to travel within the GTA (approximately 50%) to support compliance needs across retail locations.
Experience:
3 years' experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or auditing in the alcohol, tobacco and gaming related field.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance principles.
Proven ability to build collaborate relationships with various stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate regulatory language into operational guidance.
