We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee daily store operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive sales performance. Responsibilities
Assist in managing store operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and purchasing to ensure optimal product presentation and stock levels.
Lead and supervise staff, providing training and development to foster a high-performing team.
Oversee sales activities, set sales goals, and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Handle customer service inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Manage cash handling procedures, cashiering duties, and POS transactions accurately.
Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Conduct staff recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes to build a competent team.
Monitor budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales management to optimize store profitability.
Maintain organizational standards by ensuring cleanliness, safety compliance, and adherence to company policies.
Utilize strong communication skills for team meetings, staff evaluations, and client interactions.
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail sales with supervising or managerial responsibilities in a retail environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
Experience in recruiting, training & development, marketing, and sales management preferred.
Ability to handle customer service issues professionally with excellent phone etiquette.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of budgeting, pricing strategies, payroll processing, and administrative procedures is desirable.
