Public summer events offer a valuable opportunity for the Foundation to raise funds, increase awareness of BCPF-branded merchandise, and build goodwill that helps generate future sales opportunities. Funds raised through donations and merchandise sales directly supports initiatives to protect and enhance BC's outstanding outdoors.

Role Summary:
This seasonal position plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, promoting our unique and fun product offerings, and helping customers discover and connect with our brand. Your work will be instrumental in broadening our customer base and helping the Foundation achieve its revenue targets. From managing pop-up booths at public events to assisting with the day-to-day administration of our e-commerce & retail operations, you'll support our retail and merchandise program across multiple sales channels, helping to bring the BC Parks Foundation brand to life and contributing to conservation impact.
Responsibilities:
Event Days:
Set up, operate, and take down the BCPF event activations at festivals, markets, car-free days, and other public events.
Represent the Foundation and provide excellent customer service to attendees.
Promote and sell BCPF-branded merchandise
Process debit/credit sales, and manage cash float.
Educate visitors about the Foundation's mission, online store, and conservation impact.
Transport, lift, and organize booth materials and inventory (up to 15kg per box).
Non-Event Days:
Assist with event planning and coordination, including packing and organizing booth materials.
Help manage e-commerce operations (Shopify/Square/Blastramp), including order fulfillment and customer service.
Support inventory tracking, restocking, and warehouse organization.
Assist with administrative tasks for the retail and marketing team as needed.
Requirements:
Physically capable of lifting event materials (up to 15kg) and setting up tents/tables.
Prior experience with and/or comfortable using digital tools and systems (Shopify/Square/Excel/Google Workspace).
Ability to quickly perform basic math
Ability to lift, kneel, squat, move, and stand for extended periods
Ability to work full-time hours on a flexible schedule
Driver's license
Nice to Haves:
Prior retail, events, customer service, inventory management and/or e-commerce experience is a strong asset.
Fluency in a second language will be an asset
Access to a vehicle will be an asset

Events will require working outdoors
