Position Summary:



We are seeking an experienced and service-driven

Restaurant Manager

to lead the daily operations of Alouette Bistro. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a passion for hospitality, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences while managing and motivating a high-performing team.

Qualifications:



3+ years of experience in a leadership role within an upscale or fine dining restaurant. Strong knowledge of French or European cuisine and wine is an asset. Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, high-service environment. Proficient with POS systems, reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable), and Microsoft Office. Serving It Right Certification (required).

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Service Excellence



Ensure every guest receives warm, professional, and memorable service. Resolve guest concerns quickly and effectively while maintaining brand standards. Uphold and exceed service protocols to deliver a consistent fine dining experience.

Team Leadership & Training



Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house team members. Conduct ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and team development. Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.

Operations & Administration



Manage daily operations including opening/closing procedures and floor management. Oversee reservations, dining room flow, and table management systems. Maintain health & safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

Financials & Inventory



Assist in budgeting, cost control, and labor management. Monitor inventory and ordering of supplies, beverages, and operating materials. Collaborate with the Head Chef and GM on menu changes and promotional initiatives.

Duties



Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and safety. Utilize POS systems, such as Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cash handling. Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to enhance performance and promote a positive work environment. Conduct interviews and hire new team members to build a skilled workforce. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and restaurant profitability. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative menu items that align with customer preferences. Monitor restaurant performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize operations.

f you have-

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial reporting. Experience with POS systems; knowledge of Micros POS is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is advantageous. Barista experience is a plus for establishments offering coffee services.
