Based in Truro, Nova Scotia, the Manager of Frank & Gino's will be responsible for all aspects of managing the restaurant including, overall customer service, food and operating cost controls, inventory management, staffing, marketing and menu development. The successful candidate will have excellent management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. The Manager will oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. Back of the house management experience is required to hire qualified personnel, set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure the restaurant is in compliance with all Health & Safety restaurant regulations.
Duties
To assume full responsibility for the daily administration of the restaurant.
To take overall responsibility for all cash in the store, ensuring proper cash controls are implemented and maintained and cash receipts are deposited daily.
To achieve and maintain overall restaurant labor cost, within budget parameters, by taking responsibility to staff, train and schedule personnel to Frank & Gino's level of service excellence.
To achieve and maintain overall restaurant food cost to budget.
Ensuring customer service and product quality are always focus points during decision making.
Annual menu development, design, pricing and strategy.
To direct local promotion of the restaurant to attain optimum sales potential.
To assume full responsibility for the daily operations of the business.
Requirements
Deliver superior food and beverage service and maximize customer satisfaction.
Respond efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints.
A self-motivated, organized, individual with superior interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a busy restaurant environment where he/she is responsible for handling a multitude of tasks simultaneously.
Experience as a Manager in a full-service restaurant concept is considered an asset.
Having a good understanding of various computer software applications such as Microsoft, Excel, Power Point and POS System are considered assets.
Smart Serve certification, Safe Food Handling certificate as well as First Aid certified.
Shift work is required as well as evenings and weekends.
