Responsibilities
Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
Evaluate daily operations
Monitor staff performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Recruit staff
Set staff work schedules
Supervise staff
Train staff
Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Conduct performance reviews
Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
Organize and maintain inventory
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
Participate in marketing plans and implementation
Leading/instructing individuals
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Provide customer service
Manage events
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising responsibilities.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food environments preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
Demonstrated skills in inventory control, food safety practices, and food handling procedures.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing, and development of personnel.
Knowledge of budgeting processes along with experience managing costs related to food production and labor.
Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences across casual or fine dining contexts.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and operational excellence.
