Our unique quality is that we are like nowhere else on the Sunshine Coast or in Canada. We are looking to hire a Restaurant Manager to plan and direct all restaurant operations at Brassica. You are to maintain high food, service, health, and safety standards, ensure the restaurant\xe2\x80\x99s efficient and profitable business performance, and optimize staff and resources. Most importantly, this individual will help to represent the Brassica brand on Sunshine Coast, exemplifying our values and integrating our operations into the community.   • Hire, train and coach staff where necessary
  • Prepare and implement standard operating procedures
  • Manage staff performance following Coho\xe2\x80\x99s established standards and procedures
  • Organize and monitor staff schedules
  • Maintain employee records
  • Monitor adherence to health, safety and hygiene standards in kitchen and restaurant
  • Keep records of health and safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with restaurant security procedures
  • Ensure alcohol regulations are adhered to
  • Touching tables to resolve any issues
  • Work closely with the chef to ensure a high standard of food
  • Analyze food and beverage costs and assign menu prices
  • Total restaurant receipts and reconcile with sales
  • Ensure cash management procedures are completed accurately
  • Analyze budget variances and take corrective actions
  • Implement and oversee cost-cutting measures
  • Plan and monitor restaurant sales and revenue
  • Organize marketing initiatives with the marketing team.
  • Maintain business records
  • Prepare and analyze management reports
  • Determine and execute operating improvements
  • Check and order supplies of non-food items
  • Negotiate purchase prices and develop preferred suppliers with Commissary GM
  • Check the quality of deliveries and documentation with correct storage
  • Arrange for maintenance and repairs of equipment and services

Requirements:
  • Passionate about food and beverage
  • 3+ years of experience in a front of house management position
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge
  • Strong leadership, team member management experience, motivational and people skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Experience in analyzing financial data
  • Experience in staff development and management
  • Ability to manage inventory and cost control and familiar with Square POS systems
  • Ability to remain productive and positive through adversity
  • Available to work on-call shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.
  • License and ability to travel
