Since 1997, we've been proudly crafting delicious pizzas in the Cowichan Valley area. Our roots run deep in the community, and we're passionate about creating a welcoming environment, not just for our customers, but for our staff too. We're looking for a dedicated Restaurant Manager who shares our community focus and can build a great rapport with our team.
You will train across all three locations: Roberts Street Pizza (Ladysmith) and Little Town Pizza (Chemainus & Lake Cowichan), for the first three months before moving into a permanent management role.
What You'll Do
Complete a
3 month training rotation
at all three stores, with a
gas allowance
provided for travel to Lake Cowichan
Transition into a permanent General Manager role following your training
Lead and support staff
with patience and consistency, especially those new to the workforce and young employees
Be involved in daily operations, which include:
cooking, prepping, running the oven, cleaning
, and more
Ensure all team members are
properly trained
and
cross-trained in multiple roles
to promote flexibility and teamwork
Maintain high standards for
food quality, cleanliness, and customer service
Conduct
employee performance reviews
and manage
disciplinary actions
when necessary, fostering a respectful and supportive environment
Manage
store emails
, including
customer complaints, fundraising requests, and large/catering orders
Handle
staff scheduling
and find shift coverage as needed
Oversee
food and labour costs
, inventory, ordering, and overall store performance
Manage
supplier orders
and eventually train others to take on this responsibility
Assist in improving daily operations
by identifying inefficiencies and leading solutions
Work closely with the
Chemainus and Lake Cowichan teams
to coordinate
special events and promotions
Collaborate with ownership on strategies to
grow daytime business and customer loyalty

with ownership to discuss menu changes, operations, marketing, staffing, or any other topics
Have access to
office space at all three locations
for administrative duties and meetings
Assist with
hiring and onboarding
new team members, creating an encouraging orientation and training process that supports learning and growth
Establish and promote a
positive, respectful workplace culture
that encourages teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement
Set clear expectations and consistent communication to help young/new workers understand their roles and grow their skills
Identify and encourage
opportunities for career development and advancement
within the team
Be flexible to work
any shift
; days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Manage the store effectively and independently
, enabling owners to do random inspections and drop-ins smoothly
What We're Looking For
2+ years of restaurant leadership or management experience
A calm,
patient leader
who enjoys coaching and developing staff, especially young or inexperienced workers
Must be
good under pressure
and able to stay composed during busy periods
Strong skills in
quality control, cost management, scheduling, and team leadership
Skilled at building rapport with a diverse team and maintaining motivation and morale
Comfortable working
hands-on
alongside the team as well as managing administrative tasks
Valid
driver's license
and reliable transportation
Willing and able to travel between all three stores during training
Compensation & Perks
$21.00/hour during 3-month training
$55,000-$60,000 (depending on experience) salary
