We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in managing teams and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficiency and quality in all aspects of service.
Manage and train staff, including interviewing, hiring, and supervising team members to foster a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for cash handling and transaction management.
Develop menus in collaboration with kitchen staff, focusing on innovative food preparation techniques and seasonal offerings.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain operational flow.
Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Implement marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and enhance customer engagement.
Collaborate with upper management to set goals and develop strategies for growth within the establishment.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team management and development.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations gracefully.
Proficiency in food handling practices and knowledge of food safety regulations.
Experience with cash handling procedures and familiarity with POS systems (Micros POS preferred).
Background in cooking or kitchen experience is highly desirable, along with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus, as well as barista experience for establishments offering coffee services.
