We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant management, with a passion for food service and hospitality. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations effectively.
Duties
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service.
Manage staff, including hiring, training, and supervising team members in various roles such as servers, cooks, and baristas.
Implement effective training programs for new employees, focusing on food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service excellence.
Maintain inventory control and manage cash handling procedures using POS systems like Micros POS.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance their dining experience.
Monitor restaurant performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create menus that reflect current trends while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with POS systems; familiarity with Micros POS is a plus.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective team management skills.
Ability to conduct interviews and assess potential candidates for various positions within the restaurant.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is advantageous but not required.
Barista experience is a plus for establishments serving coffee or specialty beverages.
