We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager for a South Indian Restaurant to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership and customer service skills. As a key member of our team, you will ensure that our restaurant runs smoothly, providing an outstanding dining experience for our guests while managing staff effectively.
Responsibilities
Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
Knowledge of South Indian Chettinadu cuisine.
Evaluate daily operations
Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
Monitor staff performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Recruit staff
Set staff work schedules
Supervise staff
Train staff
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Cost products and services
Organize and maintain inventory
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Provide customer service

Skills
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong knowledge of South Indian Chettinadu food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
Proficiency in cash handling and operating POS systems (Micros POS preferred).
Ability to conduct interviews and train new employees effectively.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with hospitality standards and best practices within the restaurant setting.
