About Us:



Sultan Ahmet Turkish Cuisine is one of Canada's highest-rated Turkish restaurants, known for authentic flavors and exceptional service. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oven Chef to join our busy kitchen and handle the preparation of Turkish Pide, Lahmacun, bread, and Pide toppings.

Key Responsibilities:



As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Ottawa location. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Operations Management:

- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and excellence.

- Develop and implement operational procedures to maintain the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.

- Monitor inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely availability of ingredients and materials.

2. Staff Leadership and Development:

- Manage, mentor, and lead a diverse team of 25-30 employees, including waitstaff, kitchen staff, and supervisors.

- Create staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and adherence to labor laws.

- Facilitate staff training programs to maintain high service standards and foster a positive team culture.

- Address staff concerns and resolve conflicts promptly and effectively.

3. Financial Management:

- Control and monitor food costs to meet budgetary targets while maintaining quality.

- Ensure accurate cash handling, financial reporting, and adherence to financial policies.

- Drive profitability by identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising customer satisfaction.

4. Customer Experience:

- Maintain a customer-first culture, ensuring all guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience.

- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.

- Collect and analyze customer feedback to implement improvements.

5. Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food handling protocols.

- Conduct regular audits of the restaurant to uphold brand standards.

- Report directly to senior management on performance metrics, challenges, and achievements.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in restaurant management, with experience managing teams of 25 or more employees.

- Industry Knowledge: Strong background in the food and hospitality sector, with a deep understanding of restaurant operations and food cost control.

- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

- Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.

- Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.

- Problem-Solving: Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.

- Availability: Willingness to work a 6-day work week, including weekends and holidays as required.
