Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario (\xe2\x80\x9cthe AGO\xe2\x80\x9d) is one of the largest art museums in North America, with a collection of close to 100,000 works. Through the collection as well as collaborations with leading museums around the world, the AGO presents wide-ranging exhibitions and programs to approximately 1 million visitors annually.

We are currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time, Restaurant Host to join our Food & Beverage-Bistro Department. Under the direction of Manager, Food & Beverage Outlets, the incumbent shall greet guests and shows them to the dining room promptly in order to provide efficient and attentive service. Schedules dining reservations as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience working as a host in a reputable, established restaurant
  • Directly related experience at taking, timing and call-backs of reservations to suit the table turnover
  • Demonstrated experience operating a POS System
  • Experience with Open Table is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant/hospitality practices and procedures
  • Well-developed customer relations and customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
