Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills while fostering a positive work environment. This role requires a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality and presentation standards.
Supervise staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling to optimize team performance.
Utilize POS systems, specifically Micros POS, for managing transactions and inventory.
Maintain high levels of customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas to uphold cleanliness and organization.
Collaborate with kitchen staff in menu planning and execution to enhance the dining experience.
Monitor financial performance through cash handling procedures and cost control measures.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
Experience
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service or night-life industry.
Strong background in food handling, preparation, cooking, and serving techniques.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on team management and development.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial reporting within a restaurant setting.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create memorable dining experiences.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to work extended hours, on foot.
Knowledge of various operational systems.
