We are looking for a General Manager with proven experience in the areas including developing and managing budgets with experience in financial management, leadership, and excellent customer service skills to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure a positive and consistent experience for our guests.
Seed N Salt is a quick service restaurant, high volume, fast paced, casual-dining establishment known for its food, the space and the people! We have 3 locations in Calgary however this position will be for our SW Mission location.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Develop, manage, and monitor the restaurant's budget, ensuring profitability and cost control.
Profit & Loss (P&L) Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce expenses.
Inventory & Cost Control: Oversee inventory management, conduct regular stock takes, and control food and beverage costs to meet budget targets.
Operations Management: Direct daily operations to ensure efficiency, high service standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Uphold company policies, procedures and brand standards, ensuring both front-of-house and back-of-house operations run efficiently.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate restaurant staff to foster a positive and productive team environment.
Sales & Marketing: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance brand reputation.
Customer Experience: Ensure a consistently positive and memorable dining experience for all guests. Handle customer feedback and reviews.
Catering: Coordinate and execute catering orders by maintaining clear communication with customers, directing the team to ensure smooth execution, and creating accurate invoices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Restaurant General Manager or in a similar leadership role with demonstrated financial acumen.
Strong understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and cost control.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, inventory and scheduling.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and digital tools for operations management.
A proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
A passion for food, service, and creating an inviting atmosphere.
Living in Calgary or willing to relocate if in another part of Canada.
