We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations at our upcoming 200 seat + patio BBQ Joint. We are a top BBQ Brand in Calgary, with a Fire Masters Finalist Chef. Featuring again on the Food Network this coming year (shhh, can't tell on what VERY popular show!). We LOVE our customers and are PASSIONATE about what we do. We have an amazing dedicated team that we have crafted with our strong values and love of good people. No drama work environment. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in managing BOTH

quick service

and bar / pub establishments. This role requires

exceptional leadership skills

, a next level attention to Customer Southern Hospitality, and the ability to drive operational excellence while ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Duties



Oversee all restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness. Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a motivated and efficient team. Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. Utilize POS systems (Lightspeed) for cash handling and transaction management. Develop and maintain budgets while monitoring financial performance against targets. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices. Foster a positive dining experience by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Supervise kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback. Collaborate with catering team for private functions and large group bookings

Qualifications



A very high skill set towards technology and learning / trouble shooting applications. We utilize many tech platforms to drive our business, including online and table ordering. You LOVE tech. Cooking experience is a HUGE asset - in order to manage the kitchen team, you need to fully understand their roles. Experience with creating SOP's - as that will be your first assignment to clean up SOP's and set-up a Learning & Training Management Software for seamless training and consistent management across all 4 of our locations. This project EXCITES you! Proven experience in restaurant management or similar roles within the food service industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to train staff in various aspects of restaurant operations including serving techniques and hospitality management. Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
