We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Turtle Jack's Muskoka Grill. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and hospitality, with proven leadership skills to ensure our front of house operations run smoothly. This role involves overseeing staff, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Supervise daily front of house operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Train, mentor, and manage front of house staff, including servers and baristas, to deliver outstanding service.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Manage cash handling procedures and maintain accurate records using Micros POS systems.
Assist in interviewing and hiring new team members as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service between the front and back of house.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
Implement policies and procedures that promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Ensure proper inventory management and ordering of supplies.
Experience
Previous experience in restaurant management or a supervisory role within the food industry is required.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
Experience with POS systems, particularly Maitre'D POS, is preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Proven ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully.
Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus.
Familiarity with interviewing processes and team management strategies is desirable.
