We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant General Manager to support the daily operations of our busy restaurant. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in food service, team management, and hospitality. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing restaurant functions, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Previous experience in restaurant management, food handling, and leadership within the food industry is essential for this position.
Duties
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences.
Supervise staff including interviewing, training, and scheduling team members to optimize performance and productivity.
Manage food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling procedures to meet safety standards.
Oversee POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper kitchen procedures.
Support in supervising food service activities including serving, hospitality, and barista services where applicable.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors to maintain adequate stock levels.
Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the restaurant environment.
Skills
Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food service or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling expertise is required.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
Skilled in interviewing, training, and developing staff members to enhance team performance.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including food handling, kitchen operations, and guest relations simultaneously.
Knowledge of restaurant operations including food industry standards, serving etiquette, and hotel or barista experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills combined with problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges promptly.
