Position Summary



The Restaurant Area Manager is responsible for overseeing operations across multiple restaurant locations in Ontario, primarily in Richmond Hill. Reporting to senior leadership, this role focuses on coordinating cross-location initiatives, driving performance improvements, managing hiring and promotions, and ensuring alignment with company standards. Each restaurant has its own dedicated store manager and kitchen supervisor, allowing the Area Manager to concentrate on strategic oversight, process enhancements, and team development. This position is ideal for a proactive leader with experience in multi-site management, preferably in a franchise environment, who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee progress and performance improvements across assigned restaurants, including analyzing operational metrics, implementing best practices, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements. Manage recruitment, onboarding, and promotion processes for restaurant staff, ensuring compliance with Ontario employment standards and company policies. Coordinate with individual store managers and kitchen supervisors to align on goals, resolve inter-location issues, and foster a consistent brand experience. Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, and address any operational discrepancies promptly. Develop and execute training programs to support staff development and career progression. Analyze financial and operational reports from multiple locations to support decision-making and achieve profitability targets. Build strong relationships with franchise partners or stakeholders, if applicable, to ensure smooth operations and growth. Identify risks in processes or controls and recommend improvements to enhance overall performance. Other duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in multi-site restaurant management, with a strong preference for franchise management experience. Proven track record in driving operational improvements, hiring, and staff development. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement actionable strategies. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and locations. Proficiency in restaurant management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial reporting tools. Knowledge of Ontario labor laws, health and safety regulations, and food-handling standards. Ability to travel between locations in the Richmond Hill area and other Ontario sites as needed. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a strong asset. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
