Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Restaurant and Bar Server to join our hospitality team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner Present menus and explain daily specials or promotions Take accurate food and drink orders and input into POS system Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized workspace Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with BC liquor laws Handle cash, credit card, and debit transactions Follow all safety, hygiene, and food handling protocols Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service Upsell menu items and make recommendations to enhance guest experience

Qualifications

Required:

Must have valid Serving It Right certification (BC alcohol service license) Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant or bar setting Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Preferred:

Experience using POS systems (e.g., Square, TouchBistro, PMS, etc.) Knowledge of wines and cocktail preparation Food Safe Level 1 certification Serving it Right certification Second language an asset (e.g., French, Spanish, Mandarin)

Work Environment

Fast-paced, team-oriented, guest-facing Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays May include patio or outdoor service in seasonal months
