Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible adult on-call to provide supervision and support for children in various settings. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of children during times when a primary caregiver is unavailable. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities, and possess a caring, attentive demeanor. This position offers an opportunity to contribute positively to children's development while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Duties

Supervise children in classroom or care environments during assigned shifts Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Engage children in age-appropriate activities and support their emotional needs Follow care plans and behavioral guidelines as outlined by parents or guardians Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other staff regarding children's needs and progress Respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues, implementing appropriate interventions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment conducive to children's development Document observations or incidents as required

Requirements

Prior classroom experience or caregiving experience preferred Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong understanding of early childhood education principles Ability to work well with children and demonstrate patience and empathy Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families and team members Reliable, responsible, and able to adapt to changing schedules Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background checks as required for working with minors Prior teaching or caregiving experience is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
