What You'll Do

As a Response Readiness Contractor Specialist, you will:

Be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and maintaining the required levels of external contractors as defined by Operations and Response Readiness Assist Operations and Training in the planning and scheduling of response contractors, including vessel crews, vessels of opportunity, staging area, and shoreline supervisors for training and exercising. Represent WCMRC as the lead in contract negotiation and oversee the administration of contractual records and documentation (WCB Records, Vessel Surveys) within the Contractor Program Coordinate with Operations and Logistics to support the planning, scheduling and dispatching of external contractors and equipment for training, exercises, and spill response situations. Maintain the Contractor Program database to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. Support management of contractor training budget development, quarterly reviews, and input on variance reports Manage contractor LMS portal for contractor personnel training records and marine tickets. Update program documents and procedures to reflect changes and improvements in VOO onboarding, training, and dispatch processes

What You Bring

Completion of an operations management or business-related post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in roles of increasing responsibility related to overseeing the activities of external contractors Experience in project management in a marine and/or construction work environment Strong computer skills with ability to effectively utilize MS Office applications and other software applications, including the use of mobile devices

Preferred

Demonstrated ability to analyze information and synthesize findings for practical application, advanced working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies Strong influencing, negotiating and facilitating skills, with experience participating in contract negotiations
