The Responsible Adult will work collaboratively with educators and staff to support the developmental needs of children while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 11:30
School term time only (we are closed during Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks)
Working alongside 2 ECE teachers, focusing on 2 supported children
Duties
Supervise and engage with 2 supported children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational programs and activities specific to the supported children.
Support children's learning through play-based experiences, encouraging exploration and creativity.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children and families.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.
Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a positive team atmosphere focused on the best interests of the children.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
This position will include supporting children with toileting and personal care.
Requirements
Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred, ideally with children with special needs.
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education, ideally for children with special needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Must be 19 years or older.
