Responsable national(e) des agent(e)s de liaison medicale et scientifique - Directeur(rice) associe(e), Affaires Medicales
Le/la Responsable national(e) des agents de liaison medicale et scientifique - Directeur(rice) associe(e), Affaires Medicales dirigera l'equipe nationale d'agent(e)s affecte(e)s aux aires therapeutiques concernees. Il/elle contribuera a la strategie medicale et veillera a ce qu'elle se traduise par des plans tactiques concrets sur le terrain.
Activites principales :
Developper et maintenir des connaissances scientifiques a jour sur les pathologies pertinentes, les produits correspondants et les methodologies de recherche
Veiller a ce que chaque agent(e) de liaison medical et scientifique dispose d'un plan territorial strategiquement aligne sur le Plan des Affaires Medicales
Recruter, gerer, coacher et developper un groupe de huit a dix agent(e)s de liaison medical et scientifique affecte(e)s a ses aires therapeutiques afin d'assurer des echanges scientifiques de la plus haute qualite, conformes au Plan des Affaires Medicales
Realiser des visites regulieres sur le terrain avec chaque agent(e) de liaison medicale et scientifique
Collecter les insights du terrain qui seront partages a l'interne selon les besoins
Contribuer a la strategie medicale de l'aire therapeutique menee par le Conseiller(ere) medical.
Veiller a une collaboration interfonctionnelle adequate et conforme entre les agents de liaison medical et scientifique et les parties prenantes internes
Organiser des reunions d'equipe regulieres
Definir les objectifs des agent(e) de liaison medicale et scientifique
Gerer la performance des agent(e) de liaison medicale et scientifique
Etant donne qu'il s'agit d'un poste sur le terrain, il est attendu que le/la Responsable national(e) des agents de liaison medicale et scientifique soit present(e) soit sur le terrain au moins 60 % du temps. Ce poste doit etre base au Quebec ou en Ontario.
Qualifications:
Formation : PharmD, M.D. ou doctorat (Ph.D.) requis
Experience : Le/la candidat(e) retenu(e) possede trois a cinq ans d'experience dans l'industrie pharmaceutique
Experience anterieure en tant qu'agent(e) de liaison medical et scientifique requise ; une experience en tant que Conseiller(ere) medical(e) est un atout
Experience en gestion d'equipes souhaitable
Langues : Maitrise du francais exigee
Competences et aptitudes:
Preference pour les candidats ayant des competences averees en gestion d'equipes et en leadership, ainsi qu'en ecoute et en coaching
Capacite demontree a traduire une strategie scientifique en plans tactiques et d'implementation
Excellentes competences redactionnelles et orales
Capacite demontree a creer un environnement de travail favorisant l'engagement des employes
Forte capacite d'analyse et de resolution de problemes
Solide ethique et integrite. Bonne connaissance des principes des Bonnes Pratiques Cliniques et du code de l'IMC canadien (Innovative Medicines Canada).
Aptitude a travailler dans des equipes performantes et au sein d'une organisation matricielle.
Capacite de negociation et d'influence
Excellent esprit d'equipe ; aptitude au travail en collaboration au sein de groupes interfonctionnels. Capacite a interagir avec succes avec divers intervenants locaux, y compris les Conseiller(e)s medicaux(ales) dans differentes aires therapeutiques, les equipes commerciales et les organisations de recherche sous contrat

National Medical & Scientific Liaison Manager - Associate Director, Medical Affairs
The National Medical & Scientific Liaison Manager - Associate Director, Medical Affairs will lead a team of Medical & Scientific Liaison assigned to given therapeutic areas across Canada. The Medical & Scientific Liaison manager will also provide input into the medical strategy and ensure that it translates into concrete tactical plans in the field.
Key activities include:
Develops and maintains up-to-date scientific knowledge around relevant disease areas, products within those areas and research methodologies
Ensures that each Medical & Scientific Liaison has a territory plan that is strategically aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan
Hires, manages, coaches and develops a group of eight to ten Medical & Scientific Liaisons assigned to their therapeutic areas to ensure the highest quality scientific exchange in line with the Medical Affairs plan.
Performs regular field visits with each Medical & Scientific Liaison
Gathers field insights that will be shared internally as appropriate
Provides input into the therapeutic area Medical strategy led by the Medical Advisor
Ensures that there is adequate and compliant cross-functional collaboration between the Medical & Scientific Liaisons and internal stakeholders
Organizes regular team meetings
Establishes the objectives of their Medical & Scientific Liaisons
Manages performance of Medical & Scientific Liaisons
Given that this is a field-based position, the expectation is that the Medical & Scientific Liaison manager be in the field at least 60% of the time. This position must be based in Quebec or Ontario.
Qualifications:
Education: PharmD, M.D. or Ph.D. degree is required
Experience: Successful candidate has three to five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Previous experience as a Medical & Scientific Liaisons is required; experience as a Medical Advisor is an asset.
People management experience is preferred
Language: Fluency in French is required
Skills and Competencies:
Preference for candidates with demonstrated people management and team leadership skills, as well as listening and coaching skills
Demonstrated ability to translate scientific strategy into tactical and implementation plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to create a working environment which fosters employee engagement

Strong ethics and integrity. Solid knowledge of Good Clinical Practice principles and of the Canadian Innovative Medicines code

Excellent team player; must excel at teamwork in cross-functional groups. Must be able to interact successfully with a variety of individuals at the local level, including Medical Advisors working in different therapeutic areas, commercial teams and contract research organizations.
