Summary:


We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Business Development Manager to lead initiatives that support enrollment growth and


program diversification at our private post-secondary institution. This role will be instrumental in expanding the college's reach


across domestic and international markets by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and supporting


the development of market-relevant programs.




The successful candidate will provide senior-level strategic direction and contribute directly to institutional planning, long-term


growth strategy, and risk mitigation efforts.




The ideal candidate will bring a balance of business acumen and practical execution skills, with experience in sales, marketing,


and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with the leadership team, the Business Development Manager will help position


LCC for sustainable growth in a competitive education and training landscape.




How You Will Make a Difference:
?

Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase enrolment, revenue, and brand presence.
?

Identify opportunities to diversify and enhance program offerings based on emerging industry trends, target market


needs, and labor market demands.
?

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand client needs, promote, and launch new programs, including short-term


credentials, online/hybrid formats, and customized corporate training solutions.
?

Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to support data-informed program development.
?

Build and maintain strong relationships with recruitment agencies, education consultants, industry stakeholders, and


corporate partners both locally and internationally.
?

Negotiate and manage contracts and strategic partnerships to support enrollment pipelines and long-term institutional


growth.
?

Lead the planning and execution of strategic business development initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional


goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth priorities.
?

Identify and assess strategic risks and opportunities, advising senior leadership on mitigation strategies and market


positioning.
?

Participate in senior management meetings and contribute to the development of college-wide strategy and annual


operating plans.
?

Partner with the marketing and communications team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and


branding initiatives.
?

Monitor, evaluate, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to recruitment, enrolment, program


success, and revenue generation.
?

Oversee reporting and risk analysis related to business development activities, ensuring accountability and data-driven


decision making.
?

Manage the business development budget responsibly, ensuring high-impact investments with measurable outcomes.
?

Represent the institution at education fairs and networking events to increase visibility and build strategic relationships





What You Bring:


Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Minimum of 5 years of progressive


experience in business development, sales, or enrolment management.

In-depth understanding of the post-secondary education landscape in Canada and globally preferred but not required.

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management capabilities.
?

Demonstrated ability to assess strategic risks, develop mitigation strategies, and advise executive leadership.
?

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
?

Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Expected Hiring Salary: $41.94 - $46.14 per hour. Dependent on education, training, experience, and internal equity.
