Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Worker to provide essential support and care for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will assist clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is vital in offering temporary relief to primary caregivers, allowing them to take necessary breaks while ensuring that clients receive the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities



Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Collaborate with families and other caregivers to develop individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications



Previous experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred, particularly in assisted living or home care settings. Enjoy working with Children and engaging in play with children. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Experience with medication administration is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others are essential for this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.07-$22.56 per hour
