Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Certification as a Respiratory Educator (CRE)
Certification in Smoking Cessation Counselling preferred
Member in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
demonstrated professional development and participation in QA programs
Minimum of two to three (2 - 3) years' experience that combines clinical education and leadership expertise in an interdisciplinary environment.
Strong computer knowledge in Meditech, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent analytical and research skills
Superior teaching and leadership abilities
Current BCLS required
TEACH certification preferred
ADP authorization preferred
Experience with chronic disease management and prevention
Demonstrated ability to provide patient/family centered care
Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Evidence of ongoing, current professional development
