We are seeking a certified Resource Teacher who will work as part of a team to assess the learning and program needs of students, and to facilitate and provide resources for the effective delivery of IEPs.
We are seeking a qualified Resource Teacher that must possess:
A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
Inclusive Education coursework, working towards obtaining an Inclusive Education Certificate within a three year period.
Five years successful resource and/or classroom teaching experience.
Familiarity with Manitoba Education's Foundation Documents for Inclusive Education.
Expertise in curricula, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development, differentiated instruction and assessment.
A strong academic background, with instructional expertise specific to literacy and numeracy in a range of grade levels.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
An Inclusive Education Certificate.
Strong organization/planning, technology and collaboration skills.
Experience with interagency involvement and the ability to multi-task and to be a team player.
