About the Opportunity

The Resource Facilitator is responsible for assisting departments and nursing areas in accessing resources needed to deliver patient care. The Resource Facilitator reports to the Bed Utilization Manager and functions after hours under the direction of the Clinical Care Coordinator or Administration On-Call in keeping them apprised of any needs, concerns or questions related to clinical situations.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Medical Office Administration progam plus one year experience or two years related experience required
  • Certified Medical Terminology certificate an asset
  • 3 to 5 years of related hospital exposure in an applicable setting preferred
  • Proficient knowledge and experience working with computers applications is required
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel (or similar applications) is required
  • Experience and knowledge with Meditech is required
  • Knowledge of scheduling systems is an asset
  • Familiarity with Union contracts is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Non-violent crisis intervention training or willingness to obtain
  • BCLS or willingness to obtain
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time (100%), 70 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Compensation and Incentives

$20.17 - $25.16 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
