Wiidookodaadiwin Services is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support children and youth in a residential setting. Responsibilities include assisting with assessments and goal setting, fostering social skill development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. The role involves providing trauma-informed counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support, as well as supporting daily living needs such as hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Additionally, the position requires maintaining accurate records, performing household duties, and accompanying clients to appointments and community activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A two-year diploma (Community Services, Health Care Aide, Human Services or related field of study).

Minimum of two years experience in human or social services working with youth or a combination of education and experience.

Documentation Skills (maintaining records and regular computer use).

Effective verbal and written communication.

Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license or out of province/country equivalent.

Candidates will be required to submit a clean driving abstract.

FOODSAFE Level 1.

Level 1 First Aid (including CPR)

Approved criminal record check (processed by Centralized Screening HUB).

Experience working with vulnerable populations or behavioural challenges will be considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $350.00-$455.00 per day
