We are looking for a

Scheduling Supervisor

to join our

Residential Support Program

team in a permanent, full-time capacity.

This position is primarily Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is based at our South Calgary Head Office. There are no remote worker options for this role.



Using Snap Schedule 365 software, in conjunction with proprietary programs and MS Office, the Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for the establishment, general oversight, and effective upkeep of scheduling services for a labour force of roughly 350 disability support workers.

Main Duties Include:



Overseeing and supporting the Scheduler in their primary focuses of day-to-day scheduling and ensuring that staffing needs for safe operational levels are being met. Ensuring effective coverage is maintained. Fielding and acting upon shift absence phone calls from Residential Support Workers. Communicating shift absences and types of absences to internal stakeholders. Requesting, creating, or providing appropriate work absence documentation for internal stakeholder review. Report generation and data interpretation. Escalation of negative data trends or other workplace performance issues to appropriate leadership groups. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

An employment background relating to leadership roles. An employment background relating to the provision of disability supports. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Comfort with administrative tasking and continual use of computers. Adaptability and flexibility to learn a variety of software packages. Willingness to learn Agency policies and procedures. Awareness of PDD, FSCD, and CET standards. Strong coaching and mentoring skills. Independent and collaborative decision-making skills. The ability to employ effective conflict resolution and mediation techniques. Basic or not-so-basic awareness of WCB, provincial, and federal government regulations regarding workplace illness, injury, and absence rights and responsibilities for both workers and employers. Constantly looking for ways to innovate, improve, and help implement solutions.
Ideally, we are looking for people with previous work histories including a minimum of

one year

of employee supervision and

one year

of creating and implementing staff schedules. Mixtures of residential support/disability support knowledge, admin tasking in office or reception settings, human resources, and various forms of education will all be considered. Please note that this is not a remote work opportunity.
