This position involves overnight supervision and support of residents, ensuring their medical, emotional, and behavioral needs are met throughout the night. The role includes following directions from day staff, responding to emergencies according to established procedures, and notifying appropriate personnel of any major issues. Responsibilities also include assisting residents with their evening and morning routines, administering medications, enforcing house rules, and monitoring curfews. The position requires maintaining accurate documentation such as logbooks and incident reports, performing light housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks, securing the facility, and assisting with breakfast preparation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A two-year diploma (Community Services, Health Care Aide, Human Services or related field of study).
Minimum of two years experience in human or social services or a combination of education and experience.
Documentation Skills (maintaining records and regular computer use).
Effective verbal and written communication.
Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license or out of province/country equivalent.
Candidates will be required to submit a clean driving abstract.
FOODSAFE Level 1.
Level 1 First Aid (including CPR)
Approved criminal record check (processed by Centralized Screening HUB).
Experience working with vulnerable populations or behavioural challenges will be considered an asset.
