We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Residential Construction Service / Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing our service department, following up on warranty work through the entire warranty period. Additionaly this role will oversee safety protocols on construction sites, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of safety among all employees. This position requires strong leadership skills, problem solving and the ability to effectively communicate safety practices to diverse teams.
Duties
Provide exceptional customer service by looking after customers post possession service requests for the duration of the warranty period and beyond.
Receive service requests via email, phone, and Buildertrend. All requests received via phone/email are to be entered into Buildertrend for record keeping.
Determine if service requests meet warranty requirements by talking to the Customer, Trade Partners, Site Supervisors, by doing site assessments, and referencing the ANHW and Alberta governments warranty standards.
Schedule Trade Partners and/or perform the service required requests and warranted year end service work for all customers in a timely fashion. All scheduling is to be coordinated through the Service Manager, Trade Partners are not permitted to schedule their own appointments directly with the customer.
Provide thorough explanations of warranty guidelines to customers of when requests do not meet the requirement. Offer suggestions on maintenance and/or options for them on how to address the issue themselves.
Perform customer orientation and possession walk throughs with the Site Supervisor and customer by adhering to the Walkthrough/Turnover Procedure Guide.
Perform monthly inspections on showhomes and completed spec homes and schedule/perform any required repairs/maintenance.
Record, track, coordinate and schedule outstanding seasonal deficiencies for houses that were turned over in the fall/winter.
Perform and/or schedule any required service/maintenance on the office and bays as required or as requested.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety practices into project planning and execution.
Provide training sessions for employees on safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols.
Monitor compliance with quality control measures during construction processes.
Perform quality inspections to ensure that work meets established standards.
Assist in construction estimating by evaluating potential risks associated with projects.
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction safety management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, including electrical experience is a plus.
Familiarity with quality control and inspection methodologies in the construction industry.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for training and guiding teams on safety practices.
Ability to analyze situations critically and make sound decisions regarding safety measures.
Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety are preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
