Position Summary:

St. Boniface Street Links is seeking a compassionate and experienced

Residential Care Worker

to join the team at

Morberg House

, our transitional residence supporting individuals in recovery from addictions. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, client-centered environment and is committed to supporting people on their healing journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide supportive, respectful, and non-judgmental care to residents engaged in addiction recovery. Support residents in maintaining daily routines, house guidelines, and recovery-focused behaviours.Monitor resident wellness, document significant events, and communicate observations to the care team. Respond calmly and effectively to crises using trauma-informed, de-escalation approaches. Promote a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment. Model healthy boundaries, consistent routines, and prosocial behaviour. Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing program development.

Qualifications:

3-5 years' experience

working in a residential or addictions recovery setting. Demonstrated knowledge or lived experience related to

addictions recovery

. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; able to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented systems. Ability to work independently and within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Valid First Aid/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (or equivalent) are assets. Clear Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check) required.

Additional Information:

Full-time shift: Noon to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
