Job Description

Hotel Grand Pacific is seeking two hospitality enthusiasts to join our Reservations team. Proudly affiliated with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Grand Pacific is located on Victoria's beautiful inner harbour, on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen Peoples.

The Agent will work up to 40 hours per week, 15-29 hrs/wk (sometimes) providing excellent service to prospective and repeat guests. Shift times are 8 hours and will vary between mornings, evenings, split shifts , and weekends.

If you have sales or customer service experience within the hotel or tourism industry, love working in teams, and are confident with computers, we encourage you to apply.

Duties:



Efficiently handle all incoming calls while following Hotel security protocols

Respond to guest email inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Create guest reservations and ensure booking preferences are met

Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate using effective sales skills

Exceed guest expectations and minimize inconveniences through delivery of exceptional service

What We're Looking for:



1 year of reservations/sales experience within the hotel or tourism industry

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

Typing speed of 50 wpm

Knowledge of Opera PMS preferred

Professional & pleasant phone manner and excellent written communication skills

Comfortable dealing with a high call volume

Able to maintain constant concentration and attention to detail despite interruptions

Dependable team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic

Able to work up to 40 hours per week, 15-29 hrs/wk (sometimes), more then 30 hrs/wk (most) on a variety of days including weekends, split shifts.
