ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The Reservations and Ticketing Analytics Specialist plays a crucial role in analyzing transactional behaviors and trends, providing valuable customer data, insights and reports to support better management decision-making. The incumbent will be an expert for the ticketing reservation system, making changes, updates and configuration to the system as required.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze various scenarios related to ridership and yield management
Sourcing, manipulation, and analysis of data
Formatting insights so they are presentable and digestible
Monitoring business data and producing reports for internal and external users based on key insights or trends
Keeping up-to-date with reservation and ticketing software updates/initiatives
Acts as back up to other Reservation & Ticketing Analytics Specialist as required (making changes to routes, fares, specific tickets, etc. in the ticketing/reservation system)
Working with our system vendor to help facilitate the implementation of change
Reporting bugs/glitches impacting internal and/or external users of our ticketing system
REQUIREMENTS:
University Degree in Business Administration or Economics
2-3 years experience in revenue management, pricing, or yield management
2+ years' experience within the transportation industry is preferred (motor coach, passenger rail, or airlines)
Familiarity with reservation systems and software such as Betterez is highly valued
Advanced skills in MS Excel (functions, pivot tables, data analysis, etc.)
Ability to translate complex data into understandable documents and presentations
Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate
Organizational, motivational and analytical skills are a must
