Location of work

The position will be working remotely with the anticipation of travel for team and client meetings. Currently, our employees are working remotely and located within the Eastern Time Zone. To work in synergy, it is preferred that our applicants are working within the same Eastern Time Zone to accommodate team and client meetings.

Overview

The research scientist of translational sciences will support partnerships with clinicians and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the field. This cross-functional role requires extensive collaboration with various internal stakeholders and external strategic research partners to integrate data across multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Senior Scientist of Translational Sciences, this highly motivated and resourceful individual will use their scientific skills to help bring new therapies to patients with unmet need. This position will be integral to helping define and implement strategies for translational studies and supporting clinical development of POINT Biopharma's pipeline assets.

We seek candidates who are passionate about team-based science, self-motivated and who are excited to work on translational, transformative science with novel radioligand therapies for the treatment of cancer.

Responsibilities:

  • Support programs by contributing to overall translational strategies
  • Collaborate with the preclinical team to translate preclinical data and biomarkers to the clinical setting
  • Work with the clinical team to implement biomarker plans and leverage preclinical data to shape clinical trial design
  • Identify and support appropriate external partnership opportunities
  • Work effectively with interdisciplinary team to ensure alignment with overarching program goals and timelines
  • Assist in the completion of research reports to support regulatory filings
  • Communicate scientific plans and outcomes clearly and concisely with internal stakeholders
  • Work well in a fast-paced team environment
Requirements
  • PhD with 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Industry experience an asset
  • Experience with experimental therapeutics; radioligand therapeutics preferred
  • Prior knowledge and experience working with preclinical models of cancer
  • General knowledge of the clinical landscape for oncology
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and multitask across various programs
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to set and manage deadlines, proactively anticipate problems, and lead problem solving efforts as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within both the Translational Sciences team and various cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, independent and innovative
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration; proficiency in verbal and written communication
