Conduct research into the properties, composition and production of materials such as ceramics and composite materials Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to standards Evaluate technical designs and engineering work Conduct studies on the properties of materials and characteristics of materials Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments Conduct research into cost, properties of production materials and methods of production Evaluate the performance and reliability of system designs
