Your opportunity:

The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy\'s Education Office has four major functions:

  • Quality assurance and program evaluation for all academic programs
  • Strategic support and direction to all academic programs in the areas of curriculum mapping
  • Course support and integration of teaching technology
  • Streamline processes and ensure efficiencies across all programs and manages cyclical external reviews of all academic programs
Under general direction of the Director, Education Programs and Administrative Services, the Research Officer will be involved in various research and administrative-related activities to support the functions of the Education Office.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting systematic literature reviews
  • Preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
  • Implementing and executing qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
  • Analyzing results and preparing statistical reports for research papers
  • Drafting and submitting documented procedures to the Research Ethics Board (REB) for approval
  • Maintaining project records
  • Formatting data collected for presentations and reports
  • Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in health sciences, education or social science, health services research, health information technology ; or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. Completion or working towards a graduate university degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience conducting Education and Equity Diversity Inclusion related research
  • Experience with curriculum mapping
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodology within Healthcare Education
  • Experience in Healthcare Education data management, conducting basic statistical analysis of data and other forms of quantitative data is required
  • Experience assisting with manuscript preparation
  • Experience preparing award submissions
  • Experience in preparing grant proposals and Research Ethics Board submissions
  • Knowledge of research methods and/or program evaluation and/or implementation science methods and/or quality improvement methods
  • Proficiency with qualitative and/or quantitative analysis techniques and software
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to interact with people in a professional and effective manner, ability to exhibit sound judgment in decision making, ability to work independently and in a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail; capacity to diagnose and problem solve project-related issues as they arise
