MineConnect is looking to hire an intern to research and document activities pertaining to domestic and international mining activities. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 explore and identify domestic and international mining projects, including advanced exploration and active projects \xc2\xb7 establish a database of mining suppliers and service companies throughout northern Ontario \xc2\xb7 research mining journals, industry news, trade and scientific journals, media articles, and mining literature for information about the mining industry \xc2\xb7 create tools and provide information about mergers, acquisitions, and new deposits found around the world \xc2\xb7 research information about any new regulations and legislative reforms affecting the mining industry \xc2\xb7 research industry trends \xc2\xb7 update the MineConnect event calendar with information on all mining-related events (domestic and international) \xc2\xb7 prepare presentations, briefings, and reports to support project activities \xc2\xb7 support partner efforts by updating the Northern Ontario mining supply and services company database \xc2\xb7 assist with the coordination of incoming missions \xc2\xb7 develop recommendations for new programs, workshops, and benefits to offer based on research outcomes Skills & Qualifications: Skills & Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Post Secondary education preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Communications \xc2\xb7 Excellent research skills \xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills (written and oral) \xc2\xb7 Attention to detail \xc2\xb7 Critical thinking \xc2\xb7 Data Collection and analysis \xc2\xb7 Very proficient in MS Office software \xc2\xb7 Strong time management, organizational, and teamwork skills \xc2\xb7 Clear understanding of privacy and confidentiality \xc2\xb7 Self-starter \xc2\xb7 Must possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license \xc2\xb7 Experience working with not-for-profit boards an asset \xc2\xb7 Bilingualism is an asset Internship Candidate Eligibility Criteria: \xc2\xb7 be unemployed or underemployed youth (persons aged 30 and under); \xc2\xb7 have graduated within the last three years with a degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution; \xc2\xb7 be legally entitled to work in Canada; \xc2\xb7 have not previously participated as a youth intern in FedNor\'s programs or in any other federal or provincial internship program with pay for a period of six months or moreFootnote1; and \xc2\xb7 not be related to the directors, officers or managers of the organization.
