Job Description


INTREDPID Lab at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, contract (1 year) Research Coordinator with strong research and stakeholder engagement experience to support the development of guidelines and recommendations focused on vaping.

Reporting to the Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the development of evidence-based recommendation statements and guidelines while working closely with stakeholders (project team, subject matter experts and persons with lived experience) to synthesize and disseminate targeted knowledge products. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities to support this work:

  • Apply a scientific lens to the initiation and development of project content
  • Synthesize and contribute to the development of evidence-based reports,
  • Create surveys in the REDCap data capture platform,
  • Analyze and synthesize survey responses,
  • Engage expert panel and other stakeholder populations,
  • Facilitate consensus-building activities with project stakeholders and collaborators,
  • Develop, edit, review, and refine guidelines and accompanying knowledge products,
  • Develop and implement the knowledge translation and dissemination strategy, and
  • Evaluate the reach of the dissemination strategy
The incumbent will have superior writing skills, and will be expected to synthesize findings into various communication formats, including scientific papers, reports, briefs, proposals and presentations. The candidate will also be responsible for other project coordination duties, including completing project progress reports, coordinating team meetings, facilitating engagement sessions with a range of stakeholders, and other administrative and non-administrative duties, as required. This is a hybrid position located at 1025 Queen Street in Toronto.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess a Masters level degree in a health-related field, with at least two (2) years of relevant experience. Familiarity with project and work plan coordination while working with multiple stakeholders is required. Demonstrable skills in using and executing functionalities within electronic data capture-type applications is required. Skills and proficiency in literature searches, reviews, critical appraisal, and knowledge syntheses are required. Strong analytical and conceptual abilities are required, as well as the ability to respond to deadlines in a fast-paced environment and possessing excellent consultation and problem-solving skills. The incumbent will have knowledge of university library databases and reference material search and retrieval procedures. The successful candidate will have experience including data collection/assessments; qualitative and quantitative data analysis is required.

The candidate will also have superior interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and project management skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, work with culturally diverse groups and also to work with minimal supervision. Candidates will be highly motivated, demonstrating creative problem-solving abilities. They must be able to work independently and effectively in an inter-professional team environment and have the ability to work effectively in a wide range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.

Please Note: This full-time, contract (1 year) position is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.

Salary Range: $33.59 - $45.31 per hour
