The Research Coordinator for Tech-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) plays a key role in translating completed research and data into impactful educational tools and community resources. With the research and analysis phase of the project complete, this role focuses on developing accessible, trauma-informed materials and training sessions that raise awareness and promote digital safety. The Coordinator works closely with staff, service providers, and community partners to ensure resources are relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Resource Development & Education
Utilize existing research, data, and literature reviews to create educational materials such as handouts, brochures, and digital safety guides.
Design and deliver in-person and virtual training sessions for service providers, educators, and community members.
Ensure all materials are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and accessible to a wide range of audiences.
Collaborate with frontline staff and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
Community Engagement
Facilitate workshops and presentations on TFGBV, online safety, and digital consent.
Build relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and service providers to support outreach and dissemination.
Represent the organization at events, coalitions, and working groups focused on gender-based violence and digital safety.
Program Support & Administration
Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Canva to manage content creation, scheduling, and communication.
Maintain organized records of materials, sessions, and feedback for reporting and evaluation.
Contribute to grant reporting and documentation as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by organizational leadership.
Participate in the SARA on-call rotation, providing crisis response and advocacy as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Degree or diploma in social sciences, gender studies, public health, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience developing educational or training materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Teams, Canva).
Experience managing Social Media pages and sites.
Preferred:
Familiarity with tech-facilitated violence and digital safety issues.
Experience in community education or nonprofit settings.
Understanding of trauma-informed and intersectional approaches.
