Position Summary

The role requires an individual who can schedule research subject appointments, perform data entry and set up weekly clinic rosters.

Duties

  • The Research Clerk must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as they will have various opportunities to assist the research team with research scheduling tasks and activities to achieve the program\'s goals.
  • The research clerk will utilize their effective communication and organizational skills to perform patient intake activities, disseminate information to our multidisciplinary collaborators, ensure follow-up, and support ongoing operations for the neuron-to-brain lab.
  • This may require flexibility in work hours.
  • Additionally, they must be able to understand and anticipate patient, client, and research team needs and respond with the highest level of service. There may also be opportunities to participate in other duties as assigned by the PI.
Qualifications
  • At minimum, completion of XII or equivalent. Community college diploma in health-related discipline preferred
  • At minimum, 6 months related experience; clinical research experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years related/administrative support/experience preferred.
  • Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience required; experience in a Microsoft Office environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a health care environment an asset.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to produce high quality work in accordance with Hospital standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations.
  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
